Description
Dean Rusk describes U.S. foreign policy with China during the Truman administration. He discusses the involvement of the United Nations during the Korean War, the personal animosity between Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson and Secretary of State Dean Acheson, and the leadership in Taiwan under Chiang Kai-shek. Rusk also touches upon the Chinese advance into Korea and Douglas MacAthur's desire to wage war on China.
