Kenneth W. Thompson discusses his long relationship with Dean Rusk as a friend and colleague at the Rockefeller Foundation. He discusses Rusk's practice of surrounding himself with the best and brightest people and his ability with young people. Thompson speaks of Rusk's relationship with various cabinet and staff members, in particular during the Kennedy administration, and other colleagues and his respect for parliamentary diplomacy.
Kenneth W. Thompson served as Vice President of the Rockefeller Foundation (1961-1974) and Director of the Miller Center at the University of Virginia (1979-1998).
