Donarell R. Green III was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1946. His family moved to Athens shortly after his birth to start a medical practice for Black Athenians. In this interview he remembers the Susan Medical Center, growing up as the son of a doctor, and attending Burney-Harris High School. Green discusses prominent racial issues, specifically those regarding education, and he shares memories from his time on the Athens-Clarke County Board of Education. Green also recalls moments throughout his life where he experienced Civil Rights and opposing KKK protests, in Athens, Washington D.C., and Atlanta.
