Lillie P. Stewart was born in Athens in 1946 to a family of nine children, herself being the second youngest. She attended East Athens Elementary School and Athens High and Industrial before dropping out, later acquiring her GED. In this interview, Stewart shares memories from her childhood about Hot Corner, how the community has changed over the duration of her life, and describes the difficulty of working while also raising children.
