Lydia Burden is a published author born in Athens, Georgia in 1969. She spent the majority of her childhood living in Oconee County before briefly joining the military. At 21, she was discharged due to kidney failure and eventually began writing while working various customer service-based jobs. In this interview, Burden dives into the content of her four books (one published) and her choices of form and topic, along with how it relates to her experiences with kidney disease and dialysis.
