Description
Terry Allen moved to the University of Georgia in 1973 as a music enthusiast. While in Athens, he watched and photographed many bands including R.E.M. and the B-52s. Allen later went to New York for a year before he came back to Athens to work as videographer and manager for the band Dream so Real. In this interview, Allen talks about his first impressions of Athens, his work as a photographer, touring with Dreams So Real, and the influence of R.E.M. on the Athens music scene.
