Interview with Nick Bielli, July 17, 2017

Bielle grew up in Roswell, Georgia. He learned how to play the guitar and bass as an adolescent and came to Athens in 1979 where he later played bass and sang with the heavy-metal band Hayride. After the breakup of Hayride in the mid-1990s, Bielle played with other bands including Canadian Invasion and Night Karaoke. In this interview, Bielle talks about his first introductions to music, touring with Hayride, the Athens music scene of the 1980s, and other bands he played with.
