Description
Roland McElroy was born in Quitman, Georgia in 1945. He began working as a disc jockey for the local radio station when he was fourteen. He continued working in radio when he was a student at the University of Georgia and later became a freelance writer and U.S. Senate staffer. In this interview, McElroy discusses his experience as a disc jockey in Quitman and Athens.
