Interview with Killick Hinds, March 26, 2019

Killick Hinds was born in 1972 and spent the first three years of his life in Japan before returning to New Jersey with his mother. Hinds went to college in Maine and moved to Athens in 1995. He performs Appalachian Trance Metal Music and manages a record company called Solponticello. In this interview, Hinds talks about his early memories of music and describes how he started improvisation. He talks about his music, his use of alternative instruments, and his involvement in the Athens music scene. Hinds also discusses his autobiography The World for a Dying Antidote: Or, Masterless Effortry, and explains the role of meditation in his life and music.
