Description
Early discusses growing up in Atlanta and the influence her parents had on her pursuing music education professionally. She talks about attending Clark College and teaching music in Atlanta Public Schools before deciding to pursue a master’s degree at UGA in 1961. Early remembers her application process to UGA, her relationships with white students while enrolled, and her relationship with the University since 2000. She reflects on her perception of the extent to which the University has become more inclusive and diverse.
