Description
Davis reflects upon artists who influenced his drawing style and his early experiences drawing for his high school newspaper and yearbook. He recalls his tenure in the Navy during World War II and attending UGA after the war, including his experiences in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, taking art classes under Lamar Dodd, and drawing for The Red and Black newspaper and Pandora yearbook. Davis also discusses his career as a comic book artist in New York, his move to MAD magazine, and drawing posters of athletic events for UGA.
