U. Alexis Johnson interviewed by Richard Rusk. U. Alexis Johnson discusses both his personal and professional relationship with Rusk. He focuses on Rusk during the Truman and Kennedy administrations. Johnson comments on Rusk as an administrator and touches on Acheson and Truman's relationship with Rusk as well as Rusk's role during the Korean War. When discussing Rusk as Secretary of State under Kennedy, Johnson speaks of the SEATO meeting in Thailand in 1961.
