Phyllis Juliette Quick Stewart was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina but has spent the majority of her adult life in Georgia. She was a life-long educator, beginning as an elementary school teacher and retiring as elementary school principal. In this interview Stewart shares her life story including her experiences with family, her husband, and her children. She also discusses the progression of her career through Athens public schools and the challenges she faced in various situations. Stewart also identifies fellow educators and administrators that she values as mentors and friends.
