Tlayra Jordan was born in 1981 and grew up in Ohio with her great aunt and uncle before moving to Athens as a late teen. In this interview, Jordan shares her childhood trauma and abuse and how her family’s history affected her life. Jordan suffered from addiction and spent time in jail, praying that she would be saved, and she discusses the circumstances in which she had her children, who were a strong influence for her to get sober. Now, Jordan owns and directs the Mother to Mother Recovery Center.
