Larry Walter was born in Athens, Georgia, five minutes before his twin brother in 1958. Walter worked several jobs throughout his life, notably in broadcasting for the University of Georgia and Georgia Public Broadcasting, and in factories in Athens. He is currently retired but sells used cars and is an active member of his community. In this interview he discusses his upbringing, integration and race relationships in school and professional settings, as well as religion, racism, and the ways in which Athens has changed during his lifetime.
