Dr. Cshanyse Allen was born in 1973 and was raised in Athens. She went through school in Clarke County and graduated from Cedar Shoals High School before enrolling at Florida A&M University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Clark Atlanta University before gaining her second Bachelor’s in nursing, and then earned a Master’s from University of Phoenix and her doctorate from Medical College of Georgia. Following her education, Allen established the healthcare education facility Innovative Healthcare Institute in Athens. In this interview, Dr. Allen discusses her journey through school and her career, the impact of her institute, and specifically how she helped the community through the COVID-19 pandemic.
